Connecticut College seeks qualified applicants for the position of Student Services Specialist. Reporting to the Associate Registrar for Operations and under the general direction of the Registrar, the Student Services Specialist is responsible for all aspects of intersession and school of record enrollment, course registration, and grading processes, acts as the primary team member supporting transcript operations and the registrar’s email account, and provides administrative support in functional areas of the office. The Registrar’s office is a dynamic, cohesive team, dedicated to supporting the academic mission and the needs of students, faculty, alumni, and staff.  Compensation includes an excellent benefits package.

The Student Services Specialist reports directly to the Associate Registrar for Operations and has primary responsibility for intersession and school of record information. Additional responsibilities include primary support of the registrar email account and transcript operations, management of major, minor, and adviser information, and administrative support in functional areas of the registrar’s office including, but not limited to, the incomplete grading process as well as diploma and Commencement preparation.  

Associate’s degree required with two years of experience related to the position in a record-keeping office; Bachelor’s degree and experience in higher education preferred.  Qualified candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to work accurately and independently with considerable judgement and to prioritize multiple projects, and a demonstrated commitment to working in a diverse and inclusive environment. Candidates must also be able to maintain confidentiality, provide exceptional customer service, have the ability to adapt to a changing environment, and be committed to working as part of a team. Advanced proficiency in MS Office and Google docs and demonstrated experience with data entry and record maintenance are required. Experience with student information systems or an ERP system, such as Banner, Colleague, or Peoplesoft, is ideal. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends is required.
