Connecticut College is conducting a regional search for an On Call Dining Service Aid Door (DSA) Greeter to perform cashiering duties: including making cash transactions, verifying cash drawer, giving change, counting cash receipts and completing cash reports. The DSA Door Greeter will work will also perform general cleaning work, maintaining sanitation standards in the preparation, service and dining room facilities.  Position pays $16.00/hour.

The Dining Service Aid Door Greeter will be responsible for ensure accurate distribution of Care Package (CamelPak) retail sales, accurately account for completed Care Package transactions; assist customers in requests for bagged lunches; and directs customers when picking up bagged lunches; perform sales transactions in a timely fashion; enter all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded; make change, accepts declining balance cards and other acceptable forms of payment; issues receipts to customers. Ensures customers accurately complete appropriate charge slips; interact with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner, bringing concerns & complaints to the attention of a supervisor in a timely manner and ensure compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements.

High School Diploma required with 1 year of work experience.  Ability to interact well with a variety of people from all aspects of the college and community; excellent attention to detail and must be well-organized, able to work under pressure.  

 

Thorough applicant credentialing, including criminal records check and pre-placement physical, will be conducted on the selected candidate.

 

Connecticut College requires employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
