Connecticut College is conducting a regional search for a Dining Service Aide to work in our busy Dining Services Department.  This is a full time, (40 hours/week), academic year (40 week) position and is benefits eligible.. 

The Dining Service Aide will be responsible for the set up and clean up of dining rooms before and after service; ensure that items are fully stocked during the shift:  cups, mugs, trays, silverware, food etc.; label food and menu items appropriately; maintain the cleanliness of the dining room and the service area; observe sanitation standards of food handling; check student identification cards and be able to communicate with students and other customers about menu offerings and ingredients; act as the ambassador of the dining service employees, offering front of the house service.

Must be able to read, write and converse in English; lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time; must be flexible in work hours, locations and assignments and be able to take directions, work independently and as part of a team.

Thorough applicant credentialing, including criminal records check, pre-placement physical and on campus COVID testing, will be conducted on the selected candidate.

 

Connecticut College requires employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. This includes the booster vaccine. New employees must present their COVID-19 vaccination record to Human Resources prior to the first day of employment. Individuals who have a medical condition or sincerely held religious beliefs that prevent them from getting the vaccine may confidentially request an exemption through the office of Human Resources. Additional COVID-19 safety protocols such as participation in weekly testing will be required of faculty, staff and students who have approved vaccine exemptions.
