Connecticut College is conducting a regional search for a motivated individual to support the Office of Corporate, Foundation and Government Relations (CFGR). Reporting to the Director of CFGR, the Coordinator helps develop and submit grant proposals to corporations, foundations and government agencies, conducts research on and outreach to potential donor organizations, maintains databases and prepares materials for special projects. This position is ideal for a deadline-driven, detail-oriented, and well-organized development professional.  This position is part time, 30 hours/week.  Compensation includes an excellent benefits package.

Specific responsibilities include identifying and researching prospective donor organizations; drafting proposals, stewardship reports and other correspondence; tracking outreach and submission of proposals and reports; maintaining CFGR databases and ensuring that information is consistent across all platforms; assisting with events and outreach activities; overseeing office budget and providing administrative support as needed. Other duties may be assigned based on applicant credentials.

Associate’s degree with two years of experience in fundraising or higher education administration; Bachelor’s degree preferred.  The position requires excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to articulate clearly to a variety of people, both verbally and in writing, the goals and mission of the College.  Strong editing, writing and research skills, and proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and donor databases.
