Connecticut College is conducting a national search for an Assistant Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement with the design and execution of alumni relations activities focusing on building efforts and identifying future opportunities regionally.  This position supports the goals of the Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving Department, including the execution of special events.

The Assistant Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement will focus on three major areas of engagement: regional programming and events: digital alumni and parent engagement through social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram, and the young alumni experience. In partnership with the Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement, the Assistant Director will develop and implement a yearly calendar of programs (regionally, on-campus, and virtually) and a calendar of engagement-based communications. The Assistant Director will also collaborate with Advancement professionals to cultivate relationships with alumni and parents volunteers who have specific athletics affinity interests.

Additionally, the Assistant Director will oversee digital engagement efforts for CC’s alumni and parent community by using industry standards to strategize an engagement plan and to develop content that yields increased social engagement. This will include managing annual social media campaigns that showcase affinity groups in partnership with the Associate Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement for Equity, Inclusion, and Affinity Programs.

Last, this position will design a five-year plan to redefine the young alumni experience, which is defined as graduates of the last 15 years. This will include a comprehensive communication and social media strategy, a detailed plan of action for our youngest three reunion classes, reimagined programming to target these vital class years, and a personalized outreach plan to build our young alumni volunteer base, which begins with the undergraduate student experience.
