Connecticut College’s busy Dining Service Department has multiple positions available working on call in our busy dining services department.  Schedule will include late nights, days and weekends. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. 

Responsibilities include but not limited to: general food prep, set up, maintenance and cleaning of all serving areas: pantry, hot line, bakery, salad bars, deli, beverage, and dining room; checking student IDs; communicate menu offering to all customers; general kitchen cleaning; set up and operating dish machinery and pot machines; sweeping and mopping floors; garbage removal/disposal and other duties as necessary. 

Must be able to read, write and follow directions in English, work independently and as a part of a team and able to lift up to 50 lbs.  

Thorough applicant credentialing, including criminal records check, reference check and pre-placement physical will be conducted on the selected applicant. 

Connecticut College requires employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. This includes the booster vaccine. New employees must present their COVID-19 vaccination record to Human Resources prior to the first day of employment. Individuals who have a medical condition or sincerely held religious beliefs that prevent them from getting the vaccine may confidentially request an exemption through the office of Human Resources. Additional COVID-19 safety protocols such as participation in weekly testing will be required of faculty, staff and students who have approved vaccine exemptions.
